Domains Glossary: BIND
BIND
Berkeley Internet Name Domain. BIND software, developed by the University of California at Berkeley,
implements a DNS server and a resolver library that enables clients to store and retrieve resources or objects and share this information with other resources on the network. The BIND server runs in the background, servicing queries on a well known network port. Most Internet hosts run BIND. See http://www.isc.org/bind.html
