Domains Glossary: Reselling
Reselling domain names is a low cost way to enter the domain name market.
ICANN the international body that regulates the domain industry requires accredited companies to have certain levels of assets and to pay substantial membership fees.
Once a company is an accredited provider, they have access to lower cost registrations.
Resellers normally register domains via an ICANN provider, paying a higher price per domain name, but avoiding the asset and membership costs.
